The 'Ba Sing Se' Way

Context - One of my favorite animated series is Avatar Last Airbender.The series is dear to my heart, because my siblings and I would always joke about what our powers would be. After the last few weeks, I would venture to say that I am more Azula than Katara. I'll let my family and friends tell me what they think. Am I a water or fire bender?

There is no war in Ba Sing Se Everything will be okay. If I put énfasis on the end of the phrase It will be a question Ba Sing Se? War? No way. If I say it with vocal fry, That, in fact, is the American Way. There is no war... There is no war... We are in Ba Sing Se. Everything is not... Everything is oh... okay. Got it. Welcome to Ba Sing Se. No war. It's the Ba Sing Se Way. There is no war. Never.

Not in Ba Sing Se. So, why do I feel like I need to be saved? Here we are brave, they tell me.

Why don't I feel free? Why don't I feel safe?
